Abstract

The use of Mixed Reality technology in the field of art and museology, is increasingly common. In the last two decades, this type of technology review the spatial and temporal concept, consciously, between the physical and virtual plane, in a continuous connected condition. The project Talking Statues (2014), allows us to analyze how the Mixed Reality can be applied in urban areas, especially in the construction of an interactive collection, beyond the institutional territory. The action is not free from interests and tensions, however, reflects a new direction of the tensions regarding the collection and the museum itself. This article, in the field of History and Theory of Contemporary Art, discusses these new stresses and directions, from the artistic and interactive design, held in London.
